Is there a native iOS and Android app, and where do volunteers download it?
Yes. The Vome volunteer app is in the Apple App Store and Google Play. Volunteers search "Vome volunteer" or open an invite link from your team and the app store opens to the right listing.
Do volunteers have to pay or create an account before they can sign up?
Volunteers never pay anything to use Vome. They create a free account once — using Apple, Google, Microsoft, or email — and that one account works across every organization on Vome they choose to join.
What happens at the door — how does check-in actually work?
There are tons of different check-in methods available. We recommend checking our hour tracking page to learn more about all the options available.
Can volunteers cancel a shift or block dates they're unavailable?
Yes. From the schedule tab they can cancel any shift inside the cancellation window you set (admins are notified automatically). They can also add time-off date ranges so the system won't auto-schedule them while they're away — useful for vacations, exam weeks, or surgery recoveries.
