Can I create recurring shifts in bulk?
Yes. Pick a date range, the days of the week, and the time window. Vome generates every shift in that range with the capacity and visibility rules you configured. You can edit any single shift afterward without breaking the recurring pattern.
How do scheduling policies work?
Policies control capacity, cancellation windows, check-in rules, and how many reservations a volunteer can hold at a time. Set a default policy for the org and override per opportunity. Vome enforces the rules at booking time and at check-in, so volunteers can't book past the limits.
Can volunteers book for a group?
Yes. Group reservations let one volunteer book on behalf of a team, family, or corporate group. Vome stores the group name, the lead, and the party size on the shift. The advanced Groups module ties group reservations back to dedicated groups for cleaner workflows and analytics.
How do shift chatrooms work?
Each shift can have an auto-generated chatroom. As volunteers reserve, they're added automatically. Coordinators message the whole group at once for last-minute updates. The chatroom is optional per shift, and access ends when the shift does.
Can I save a shift setup as a template?
Yes. Save any shift or recurring pattern as a template, including capacity, visibility rules, scheduling policy, and all. Reuse the template next season or for a similar program in one click, no rebuilding from scratch.
What kind of reporting comes built in?
Out-of-the-box reports for shift activity by site, location, opportunity, hours completed, and more. Save custom views and filters, attach shift tags, and scope each admin to what they manage with permissions. Export to PDF, Excel, or CSV anytime.
